Development of a Coconut Shell Briquette E-Supplement Based on Local Issues in the Environmental Chemistry Course

This study aims to determine the validity of a locally contextualized coconut shell briquette e-supplement for an environmental chemistry course and to assess students’ responses to the supplement. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE model. The subject of this study was the e-supplement, tested on 10 Chemistry Education students from FKIP UNTAN. Data collection techniques included indirect communication and measurement, using validity assessment sheets and response questionnaires as instruments. The analysis was conducted descriptively and qualitatively. The validity scores for the e-supplement were 81.25% for content, 87.50% for language, and 94.44% for media. Student response reached 82%, indicating a strong level of acceptance. Based on the findings, the locally contextualized coconut shell briquette e-supplement was deemed appropriate for use and received highly positive feedback from students.
