Analisis Kemampuan Metakognisi Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Kimia SMA

Kemampuan metakognisi siswa memegang peran penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan dalam belajarnya. Siswa dengan kemampuan metakognisi yang tinggi memiliki tingkat kesadaran yang tinggi juga terhadap aktivitas belajar yang dilakukannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang keadaan kemampuan metakognisi siswa.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri (SMAN) di wilayah Lombok Tengah-NTB, yang meliputi siswa pada 16 SMAN Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa yang diambil dari 4 sekolah yang dipilih secara acak. Sekolah yang digunakan adalah SMAN 1 Pujut, SMAN 1 Praya Timur, SMAN 1 Pringgarata, dan SMAN 3 Praya.Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuisioner yang berisi pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang berhubungan dengan kemampuan metakognisi meliputi pengetahuan metakognisi (deklaratif, prosedural, dan kondisional), dan kesadaran metakognisi (kontrol, monitoring, dan regulasi diri). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa siswa secara keseluruhan pada keempat sekolah tersebut memiliki kemampuan metakognisi dalam kategori sedang. Data persentase siswa secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa 6,15% siswa dengan kategori sangat baik, 32,31% dengan kategori baik, 51,15% dengan kategori sedang, 10,39% siswa dengan kategori rendah, dan 0% dengan kategori sangat rendah. Persentase kemampuan siswa secara keseluruhan pada setiap indikator menunjukkan kemampuan metakognisi mereka kurang baik (dengan pencapaian persentase tiap indikator < 60%).
