Improving Speaking Skill of Eight Graders of MTs Surya Buana Malang Through Role Play

pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Surya Buana. Hasil dari study pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa siswa tidak dapat
berbicara dengan baik, kurang dalam tata bahasa, dan mereka mempunyai cukup kosa kata. Peneliti tertarik
dalam melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas untuk mengidentifikasi dan menyelesaikan permasalahan siswa
dalam berbicara. Peneliti memfokuskan pada tiga aspek yaitu kosa kata, kelancaran, dan ketepatan. Dalam
melaksanakan kegiatan, penelitian ini adalah kolaborasi dimana peneliti dan guru bahasa Inggris berkolaborasi
dalam mempersiapkan dan melaksanakan kegiatan peran kolaborator adalah untuk mengobservasi kegiatan
selama proses belajar mengajar dan mengisi instrumen-instrumen. Kegiatan diterapkan dalam satu siklus dan
siswa sudah mencapai kriteria sukses. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan dari penggunaan
tehnik role play dalam pengajaran berbicara dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa.
