Abstract

Seni patung merupakan seni bentuk tiga dimensi yang menampilkan nilai keindahan bentuk. Digolongkan sebagai tiga dimensi karena memiliki ukuran panjang lebar dan tinggi atau volume. Konsep dasar ide penciptaan yang diangkat dalam penciptaan Tugas Akhir ini adalah Karakter Tokoh Kartun Dalam Penciptaan Seni Patung yang divisualkan ke dalam suatu bentuk Karya Seni Patung. Penulis menggambarkan teknik kontruksi dan jenis patung figurative dengan corak deformatif yang bentuknya telah banyak berubah. Material yang digunakan dalam membuat karya ini adalah besi kawat, kain, tisu, kertas dan lem kayu. Karya Seni Patung yang dimaksud dibuat secara ekspresif atau spontan sehingga menghasilkan bentuk yang unik. Karya-karya yang dibuat menceritakan Karakter Tokoh Kartun baik itu perasaan jahat, baik, pemalas, penyayang dan berupa sifat lainnya. Karya-karya Patung yang diciptakan tergolong sebagai karya seni murni yang bisa diapresiasi melalui proses interpretasi dari masing-masing penikmat atau audience. Hal ini dimaksud untuk berbagi informasi dan pengetahuan, terutama dikalangan para penikmat Seni Patung pada khususnya dan masyarakat luas pada umumnya.
