PEMANFAATAN TEKHNIK SHOW NOT TELL DENGAN MEDIA KARIKATUR DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS DESKRIPSI

Abstract: This study aims to improve the ability to write descriptive text in students by using the Show Not Tell technique through caricature media. To achieve these objectives used descriptive quantitative research methods with experimental techniques as a form of processing and data collection. The results obtained after being carried out at the final test stage there are benefits obtained after using the Show Not Tell technique with caricature media in the ability to write descriptive text, namely there is a difference of 27.17. Researchers provide suggestions for teachers who teach Indonesian subjects in order to use the Show Not Tell technique as an alternative in learning to write descriptive text essays at school because it is proven to have benefits in the learning process.

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi pada siswa dengan menggunakan tekhnik Show Not Tell melalui media karikatur. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan tekhnik eksperimen sebagi bentuk pengolahan dan pengumpulan data. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah dilakukan pada tahap test akhir terdapat manfaat yang diperoleh setelah pemanfaat tekhnik Show Not Tell dengan media karikatur dalam kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi yaitu terdapat selisih perbedaan sebesar 27,17. Peneliti memberikan Saran untuk guru yang mengajar mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia agar dapat menjadikan teknik Show Not Tell ini sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran menulis karangan teks deskripsi disekolah karena hal itu terbukti memiliki manfaat dalam proses pembelajaran.
