Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kesulitan siswa dalam menentukan suatu ide pokok paragraf dalam pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Sedangkan metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebab kesulitan siswa dalam menentukan suatu ide pokok paragraf yaitu berdasarkan 23 siswa dari hasil menentukan suatu ide pokok paragraf siswa pada kategori sangat baik terdapat 4 siswa, kategori baik 7 siswa, kategori cukup 4 siswa dan kategori kurang terdapat 8 siswa. Terlihat dari hasil presentase aspek 3 menyimpulkan isi paragraf mendapat poin presentase terendah yaitu 47,8% sedangkan pada aspek 1 menentukan kalimat utama dalam paragraf menentukan kalimat utama 65% dan aspek 2 menentukan inti dari kalimat utama 78,3%. Dapat dikatakan dari hasil penelitian mengenai analisis menentukan suatu ide pokok paragraf ini masih banyak siswa yang kurang dalam menentukan suatu ide pokok paragraf dan hanya sebagian kecil siswa yang memahami menentukan suatu ide pokok paragraf.
