Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model discovery learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Purbayan 02. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek berjumlah 30 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, kuesioner, dan tes. Teknik analisis menggunakan teknik kuantitatif dan teknik kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model discovery learning terbukti meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Purbayan 02. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil observasi yang meningkat dari pra siklus, siklus I, dan siklus II yaitu rata-rata kelas sebesar 1,91; 1,95; dan 2,41. Sama halnya dengan hasil kuesioner, pada kondisi awal nilai rata-rata sebesar 63,38 meningkat menjadi 82 setelah diberikan tindakan. Data ini dikuatkan dengan hasil tes pra siklus, siklus I, dan  siklus II yaitu rata-rata kelas sebesar 56,4; 74,3; dan 84,2.
